The cognitive performances of HAPPYneuron users improved (with no regard to age, gender, or educational level) over a training period including 3 to 5 sessions per week of 30 to 40 minutes each. A positive impact on all five cognitive functions, i.e. memory, concentration, language, executive functions and visual and spatial skills, was found after regular training with the HAPPYneuron program. The study subjects were healthy volunteers over the age of 20.

10 Improved brain activity in patients suffering from memory disorders

A research-based holistic approach that included regular, consistent social interaction, physical exercise, a low-fat diet with anti-oxidant supplements, stress management, and specific cognitive training with HAPPYneuron games three times a week for six months. Considerable "recovery" of brain activity was measured by PET scans, clinical examinations.

45 Using the internet as a means of social integration and cognitive stimulation in a residential unit for elderlies

ACTIVITAL, a computer program developed by SBT and designed for seniors, was used over a period of six months by elderlies in residential home care units. Using ICT had a positive impact on these people, not only psychologically (improved self-esteem), but also socially (increased social rebinding and social integration) and cognitively (stimulation).

87 Increased employability of the unemployed aged 50+ through cognitive training?

Using the HAPPYneuron program allows to improve cognitive performance in unemployed people over the age of 50. A transfer effect was also shown for certain tasks, including improved self-esteem, thus increasing "employability".

30 Cognitive rehabilitation for depressed patients

Patients suffering from depression used 14 HAPPYneuron games over a period of 7 weeks. Boosting the cognitive functioning with these exercises seemed to facilitate successful acquisition of new cognitive strategies, thus favoring quicker recovery.

39 Memory Stimulation. Which scientific benefits? Which exercises?

201 Transferability of Cognitive Training to every-day activities (AKA King 64)

Children age 10 to 13 learned to play chess over a period of seven months using a computer program ("Roi 64") which was developed by SBT. The skills developed during the learning provess turned out to be transferable to daily activities, including visual and spatial processing, memorization strategy, and problem-solving skills.
